The Offer

Our mission is to teach fly fishing to as many people as possible.  Some will get started by reading our articles or through books and videos, but if you would like to learn how to fly fish, but think you would benefit more from personal instruction I would be happy to teach you free of charge.  All I ask is that you create an account to become a member of our site so that we can keep you up to date on breaking news, the latest articles and events.

Who

• Any individual that really wants to learn to cast and fish, I will teach anyone, but kids get priority.  Kids who bring a sibling or parent go to the top of the list!
• Any group
  • Girl scouts
  • Boy scouts
  • Corporate event.  We can also arrange for more elaborate instruction events through our relationship with the local Orvis dealer.

Where

I prefer to teach at my home in Portola Valley, CA.  I have a quiet backyard with a large lawn and a swimming pool.  However, I'm open to just about anything, so let's talk.

• Most lessons are taught at my home in Portola Valley, California
• Your location: Depends on the site and if it's in the greater Northern California Bay Area
• Outside the Bay Area: Lessons can be taught anywhere, but if travel is involved I have to ask for travel expenses.
