Mother's Little Helper portfolio was UP today +$10,300.12 (+1.31%). Overall GAIN YTD: +$211,187.75 (+36.17%).

According to CNN Money our benchmark index, the S&P 500 is up +10.81% Year To Date.http://money.cnn.com/data/markets/sandp/

The portfolio had another big gain today following dramatic rises in Dynavax, LAM Research, Cognex and Nvidia. Companies in the portfolio expected to report earnings this month are listed below. Note that the company may report on a different day, these are estimates. A positive surprise in earnings and revenues with upbeat forward guidance from management is usually the trifecta earnings call that moves share prices higher.

I think it's occasionally helpful to put the MLH Portfolio in perspective by looking at the year-to-date returns from the best performing hedge funds. The percentage gains I show in each post make a little more sense when compared against funds that are run by professional portfolio managers with tens or hundreds of millions of dollars under management. The funds listed below are the best performing, Long Only hedge funds showing year to date returns.
